THRIVING IN A STRESS FILLED SOCIETY

Pastor Nwachukwu Nzegwu @ Sunday First Service
Worshippers have been reminded that it is not God’s desire for His children to suffer. Pastor Nwachukwu Nzegwu made this known at the October 8 first service while speaking from the scripture in Matthew 6:25-34.
According to him, Satan who is the god of this world can manipulate their provisions by creating circumstances that make them see their provision as being less and as a result reduce their vision, making their vision smaller especially for those who are not in Christ. He went further to say that the way out of this trap is a spiritual reset which means having the mind of Christ as recorded in 1 Corinthians 2:16, ‘’Jesus never had consciousness of lack, disease, etc. and that was why Satan could not afflict Him’’, Pastor Nzegwu said.
He therefore urged believers to come to this realisation and confess the truth in the word of God so that they don’t fall into the wiles of the enemy by seeing what God sees about them and saying what He says about them.

Pastor Mary Fayemi @ Sunday Second Service
“IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT”
“When you read the entire book of Ephesians to the end, you will realise that it contains all of God’s plan and purpose for our lives.” These were the words of Pastor Mary Fayemi as she took the message for the second service held on Sunday October 8, 2017. She said this after reading from Ephesians 1:15-23 and 3:14:21, stating that most believers know they have the Holy Spirit and are tongue speaking, but being in the Holy Spirit is much more than that.
After Jesus was baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit, He immediately stepped into ministry. She said the same thing happens to the believer; when they become born again and are filled with the Holy Spirit, God immerses them in Himself thereby giving them His power to go about doing His plan and purpose- Just like Jesus and the apostles. “But many of us do not know what we carry. We need to activate what God has deposited in us,” she said.
Pastor Mary Fayemi went further to explain that when God comes into our lives, we ought to have the ‘full-tank’ of the Holy Spirit in us. She demonstrated this by using a half cup of water saying that depending on how we see the world, whether half full or half empty, that translates into the way we see life in general. But when we allow the Holy Spirit dwell richly in us, we will always operate on the full tank like a glass of water filled to the brim.
Other biblical references as given by Pastor Mary Fayemi include Acts 10:38, 1 Corinthians 3:16, Jeremiah 1:9-10.

Pastor Taiwo @ Thursday Showers
“FAITH IS A DOOR”
“There is no impossible situation with God. He holds the key. The devil doesn’t hold it. So when He shuts, no one and no devil can open; when He opens, no devil can shut it.” These were the words of Pastor Taiwo at the October 5 Thursday showers after reading from the Book of Revelation 3:7-9.
Pastor went on to say that a lot of believers have been fed with the message of fear of the devil and this has taken over their lives that they live in constant fear rather that constant faith. However, the book of Hebrews 12, admonishes us to set aside every sin and weight that would weigh us down and run the race of focus which is looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. By so doing, he said we would be looking unto Jesus who holds the key to every door that needs to be either open or shut by Him only and which no other person has the power to same.
He went ahead to remind the church that whatever God does is permanent. When He blesses one, even the devil cannot reverse it no matter his threats. The only time he will succeed is if one forgets where they got it from. “The person that doesn’t give you anything doesn’t have the power to remove it; except you sell out. The devil can’t steal your salvation except you sell out. He doesn’t have what it takes to save you,” pastor said. According to 2 peter 1:3, God has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness and there is no bit of that the devil gave us.
