Pastor Taiwo @ Sunday Service

God has a plan for your life and the devil also has a plan, but you must understand that the devil is not equal to God and that he has already been defeated. So do not believe any lie of the devil which he tries to use to distract you. God has finished the work as far as your life is concerned; yours is to believe and always praise Him. These were the words of Pastor Taiwo at the December 9 Sunday service.

Speaking from Acts 13:1-2 and using the experience of Paul and Silas in prison as recorded in Acts 16:25 as illustrations, he said that the consciousness of the presence of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life is liberating and victory-inspiring. According to him, the Holy Spirit helps believers to have the right mind-set when faced with challenges, causing them to praise God instead of murmuring. “You will struggle without the Holy Spirit in your life. That’s why you need to have Him and be conscious of Him,” he said.

He then encouraged them to always rejoice in the Lord as children of God and never harbour regrets.

Pastor Taiwo @Thursday Showers

Pastor Taiwo told the worshippers at the December 6 Thursday Showers service, while dwelling on the theme of the month Supernatural Praise,  that praising God breaks the shackles of the enemy over a believer’s life. “No matter how terrible or how many midnights it takes, God will always come through for His own. When you get to the end of the road, you cry to the One who can save you and He will answer you,” he said.

Speaking from Act 16:25-16-30 and Ephesians 5:18, he said that whenever a believer finds himself or herself in trouble, the only person to call upon is the One who is mighty to save. According to him, singing praises to God at such times works fast in bringing about their breakthrough. This, he said, is made possible with the help of the Holy Spirit. “If you don’t have a song in your spirit, there will be no song to sing when you are in trouble,” he stated.
