THE WAY MAKER

Pastor Taiwo@ Sunday Service

God’s expertise is in making a way because He is the Way. He knows the way, and He is the Way Maker. He will always make a way for His own, no matter the attack of the devil on them or the challenges they face. These were the words of Pastor Taiwo during the July 29 Sunday service. “There will always be challenges but when you know who you are and who has called you, you will rejoice because you are sure of victory,” he said.

Speaking from Revelation 3:7-9, 1 Corinthians 2:6-10 and 2 Corinthians 12:6-9, he said that believers’ strength is always too small to get them victory over the devil but God’s supernatural strength is always available for them to overcome. “Whatever situations you are faced with, count it all joy. His strength is made perfect in your weakness. Depend on God and watch your little strength destroy the formidable strength of the enemy,” he stated.

He urged all not to believe the lie of the devil, but to believe only the report of the Lord. This, he said, can be achieved by dwelling on His Word and focusing on Him. “Where you think there is no way out, that is the best position for God to show up. Trust God always. Don’t ever give in to the lies of the devil,” he charged.

“THE JOURNEY OF LOVE FROM JERUSALEM TO JERICHO”

Pastor Gbenga Onabanjo @ Thursday showers

Using the account of the Good Samaritan recorded in Luke 10:25-30 as an illustration, Pastor Gbenga Onabanjo, at the July 26 Thursday Showers service, said that love is an important tool which believers can use to reach and win souls into God’s Kingdom. According to him, this is reflected in their sacrificial services to humanity. “The greatest evidence of love is sacrifice. So, let us build a legacy of love and not division,” he said.

Speaking from John 3:16 and 1 Corinthians 13:1-7, he said that true love, which is the God kind of love, is the link that connects all mankind irrespective of background or status. He further said that this kind of love is what brings normalcy into any chaotic situation. “Let your love wear a lens of telescope which sees wide and not a microscope which is restricted and can easily pick faults,” he stated.

He then urged them to always extend the love of God, which they have received, to others. This, he said, would reveal their nature of God to humanity.
