THE POTENCY OF PRAYER Cont’d

Pastor Taiwo @Sunday service
In continuation of his message which he started the previous Thursday, pastor Taiwo at the April 19 Sunday service said that the prayer of the righteous is very effectual because they have the authority here on earth as given to them by God. He further explained that the reason believers need to call on God in prayer as admonished in Jeremiah 33:3 is to initiate the action of calling on God to intervene in challenges.
According to him, God won’t intrude in the affairs of men because He has given them the authority to dominate according to Genesis 1:26, but when they are faced with overwhelming situations, they need to initiate the action to call on God for an intervention. He noted that strategies, creativity, innovations, and victory belong to God and will be shown to whoever asks Him just as He did to King Jehoshaphat and the children of Judah when they called on Him in 2 Chronicles 20:4-22. “God is a just God, He will not force Himself on you, but you need to initiate the action of taking charge of your life, health, finance. He wants to show you great and mighty things that no one has ever known but how would He show you if you don’t call on Him?”
Pastor Taiwo also used the account of the prodigal son recorded in Luke 15:12-17 to say that communication is the bond of relationship hence God’s invitation to man to call on Him no matter how deep the challenges are. He therefore urged them not to faint but to always pray to God and He will answer. “Rather than lose heart, begin to prepare for life. He will see you through,” he said.

THE POTENCY OF PRAYER
Pastor Taiwo @ Thursday Showers
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya during the April 16 online Thursday showers urged all believers never to stop praying for the nation and the world especially at this stage of the Coronavirus pandemic. According to him, Jeremiah 33:3 is God’s invitation to men to call on Him in prayers, noting that prayer is the most potent tool believers have no matter how disdained it’s being handled. “It’s very easy to complain but God desires that we call on Him than complain,” he said.
Pastor Taiwo further noted that God will answer prayers by giving instructions and guidelines and such instructions need to be jotted down in order to make implementation easy and thereby revealing the manifestation of His answer. Such manifestations, he said, would be as a result on humility in prayer. “The more knees we have on the ground, the more feet would be raised up from despondency. It is time for all to pray and lift this nation back to its feet,” he said.
He therefore urged everyone never get weary of praying for themselves, families, and the nation. In his words, “Rather than remain overwhelmed and confused, it’s time to bend your knees and call on to God and He will answer you. This boat won’t sink you and this nation.”
