MY PRAYER: A PRAYER OF APOSTLE PAUL

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya @ Sunday Service
And as long as you are born again, you are an epitome of His glory. Therefore, what is important to God is that you are empowered to work in the reality of who you are in Him. Your prayers, therefore, help and empower you to work in the reality of what He has done. These were the words of the Pastor Taiwo Odukoya to the congregation at the December 12, Sunday service.
Speaking on the topic, My Prayer, the Senior Pastor of the Fountain of Life Church reminded the church that it is through prayers that they would be strengthened with might through God’s Spirit in their inner man. He said this whilst reading from the book of Ephesians 3:14-19 and Ephesians 4:1. The clergy noted that if a believer’s inner man can be saturated with power, he or she will walk in victory physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially. This, he said, is the pattern of the Kingdom, “if that inner part of you is not dealt with, you can never manifest it outside,” he opined.
He also encouraged his listeners that when situations get so tight, they should connect to the Holy Spirit. “He will strengthen you with might. When you are strengthened with might, you will see clearly, you will discern clearly the presence of the Master in your life. So, being born again means, your life has become a union of life between you and Him. It will never be you alone anymore, it is a covenant relationship,” he said
He went ahead to summarise the prayer of Apostle Paul as read in the Book of Ephesians 3 as follows:
1. He prayed for strength in the inner man;
2. He prayed for depth. “To be grounded and rooted in love”;
3. He prayed believers should appropriate it. Meaning the believer should take it, it’s theirs;
4. He prayed for comprehension and fullness. When a believer is overflowing with God, even his physical being will feel it. “The whole of the God-head is available in Christ Jesus. And Christ is available in you- full.”
He concluded be noting that, to the extent in which a believer wills the power working in them, they will see the power multiply, and see God do exceedingly abundantly above. “If you are not willing to see it, why will He do it? The Holy Ghost will not force you to do what you ought to do, it is according to the measure. It is in proportionate for use. The more you use it, the more you get it,” he said.

STRENGTH IN THE INNER MAN
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya @ Thursday Showers
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya in his message to his congregation at the December 9, 2021 Thursday Showers service stated that the Apostle Paul was a man of intense prayers and it is in the place of prayers that God revealed to Paul the mystery of Jews and Gentiles belonging to one family. Reading from the Book of Ephesians 3:14-17, he noted that God is family-oriented, and is the Father in whom believers derive their existence from. “Every time you come in contact with Him know that you are coming before your Father,” he said while stating that there is a family in heaven and also on earth and we know this by the scriptures.
He went ahead to say that the revelation of God in the life of a believer is always to bring glory to God. Though men count riches in currency and precious stones, he noted that God’s riches are in His glory. “When a life glorifies God, such a person will see God manifest for him/her like never before and such a man will be seen as strong; but it is the Strong God that is at work in the life of the man that gives God all the glory,” he said
In conclusion, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya said that God is the pilot of the Christian’s life and that though that Christian might be troubled, God is never troubled. He further stated that the inner man of a believer gets its strength from God. In his words: “There is no amount of strength you want to wield; if it does not come from the inner man you are joking. God strengthens us from the inside out, our hearts receive strength from God to empower our body and soul.”
