Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @ Sunday service

During his message titled The Uncontested Circular of Love, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya explained that God’s ultimate message to humanity is expressed through the person and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, demonstrating the depth of His unconditional love.

Using the meaning of a circular as a message sent to a group of people to inform, instruct and clarify, he explained that God’s circular of love fulfils these three purposes. It informs the world of His love through Jesus Christ (John 3:16), emphasising that God’s love is not earned through human performance or position but demonstrated through Christ’s sacrifice (Romans 5:8; 1 John 4:9–10).

He further explained that God’s message comes with an instruction to repent, believe in Jesus and receive salvation by confessing with one’s mouth and believing in one’s heart (Acts 17:30–31; Romans 10:9–10). Having received this love, believers are also commanded to love others unconditionally and extend the same love they have received (John 13:34–35), stressing that receiving God’s message must be accompanied by obedience to its instructions.

Pastor Jimmy highlighted three important clarifications about Jesus: He is the Son of God and the express image of God’s glory, not merely a messenger or prophet (John 1:1, 14–18; Hebrews 1:3, 8); the cross reveals the seriousness of sin and the price Christ paid to reconcile humanity to God (Romans 3:23–25); and Jesus is the only way to the Father, the truth and the life (John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:3–6).

He therefore reminded the congregation that nothing can separate believers from God’s love in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:35), encouraging everyone to choose Jesus, embrace the new life He offers and live in the assurance of His unfailing love.

Earlier in the service, Pastor Jimmy opened the month with the word New Beginnings, from Isaiah 43:18–19 (AMP), encouraging the congregation to let go of past experiences, disappointments and former testimonies to embrace the new things God is about to do. He emphasised that new beginnings require a change of mentality and a renewed focus on God, assuring them that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He encouraged everyone to remain expectant and attentive to God’s direction through prayer.

Also sharing the Promise of the Week from Deuteronomy 28:13, Pastor Toluwani Odukoya highlighted obedience as a key to accessing God’s promises and blessings. She explained that through the Holy Spirit, believers receive the grace to align with God’s will and follow His instructions. She consequently led the congregation in prayer for the grace to obey God, develop a submissive heart and faithfully follow His instructions.
