Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @ Sunday Service
The month of June began on a powerful note as Pastor Jimmy Odukoya unveiled the theme, Divine Shift, during Sunday’s service. Drawing from Isaiah 62:1-4 and Isaiah 42:14, he explained that divine shifts are not driven merely by human desire but by God’s sovereign decision. “Divine shift begins with God, not because you desire the change. Divine shift comes when God decides that where you are does not reflect what He wants for your life,” he said.
He also noted that seasons of delay, limitation, and struggle have expiry dates, and when God decides it is time for change, nothing can stop His purpose from unfolding. He said, “When God decides it’s your time, the only thing your enemies can do is to watch.”
Referencing the lives of Joseph, David, Esther, and Daniel, Pastor Jimmy reminded the church that God has appointed times for His people, emphasising that sometimes what people need is not more resources but greater visibility.
He therefore encouraged them to reject every negative label and boldly declare God’s promises over their lives. “Divine Shift changes who notices you. For God is not just changing your condition; He’s changing your audience. God will not rest until every declaration over your life comes to pass,” he declared.
Earlier in the service, Pastor Toluwani shared the Promise of the Week from Zephaniah 3:16-17, reminding the congregation that God has not called His children to live in fear. She encouraged believers to stand firm in the assurance of God’s presence, noting that fear loses its power when they keep their eyes on the greatness and faithfulness of God.
