Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @ Sunday Service

Continuing the Divine Shift series during the June 14 Sunday service, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya preached a message titled Catch the Wave, charging the congregation to embrace the spiritual principles required to recognise divine shifts, position themselves for change, and ride the wave of God’s movement through faith and obedience.

Drawing from Isaiah 62:1- 4 and Isaiah 43:18 – 19, he explained that a Divine Shift occurs when God determines that a person’s current reality no longer reflects His purpose for their life. Such shifts, he noted, are initiated by God and are intended to move His people from obscurity to visibility, from brokenness to restoration, and into seasons of favour and public recognition.

Speaking on the importance of discernment, obedience, and embracing divine disruptions, Pastor Jimmy stressed that believers must remain sensitive to what God is doing in every season. Just as a surfer must recognise and position himself for the right wave, believers must discern God’s direction and avoid becoming attached to past victories or experiences. He also explained that embracing a new wave often requires letting go of the old, while consistent meditation on God’s Word remains essential for developing the discernment needed to navigate divine transitions successfully.

Pastor Jimmy concluded by encouraging the congregation to embrace their identity as God’s delight – Hephzibah, urging them to align themselves with God’s Word and prepare for the public manifestation of God’s glory in their lives.

Earlier in the service, Pastor Toluwani shared the Promise of the Week from 2 Chronicles 7:15, assuring the congregation that God hears and answers the prayers of His people. She highlighted humility, prayer, seeking God’s face, and turning away from wickedness as key conditions for experiencing God’s intervention. She subsequently led the church in prayers of humility and intercession for the nation and for personal needs.
