It was a special Sunday service at The Fountain of Life Church on September 15 as it marked the grand finale of the Emerge Conference, an annual conference organised by Church 3:16, the Youth arm of the church. The event which started the previous Friday with notable speakers ended with a stage drama, the word and a special anointing service.
While speaking on the theme of the Conference – Unleashed, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya said that the sustainability and continuous growth of God’s children cannot be limited because they have been set free from the hold of the devil whose mission according to John 10:10 is to restrain and prevent people from achieving their purpose. “You are not under the devil’s control because you are created to have dominion,” he said.
Speaking from Matthew 17:1-9, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Psalm 51: 5 and Romans 5:17 Pastor Taiwo said that everybody was created for a purpose but sin becomes the leash on men hindering them from fulfilling the purpose they’ve been created for. According to him, all men were born leashed except for Jesus Christ; noting that His redemptive work on the cross therefore unleashes anyone who comes to Him and accepts Him from the holds of Satan and Sin.
He therefore urged the congregation to know who and whose they are as this is when they would be able to fulfil their purpose. “To fulfill your purpose in life, you need to be unleashed because it is only the unleashed that can unleash the leashed,” he said.
“IN GOD’S PRESENCE IS FULLNESS OF JOY”

As a believer, your life is that of an overcomer; but the reality of that glorification depends on your ability to activate it by allowing God’s presence in every situation of your life. Pastor Taiwo said this to the worshippers at the September 12 Thursday showers. “If you have the revelation of God’s presence even in your trouble, there will be joy because there is fullness of joy in His presence,” he said.
Dwelling on Psalm 16:1-11, he stated that the presence of God gives believers the boldness to confront any situation with rejoicing. “When you’re conscious of His presence, the monster terrifying you falls and you’re guaranteed victory. So the choice is yours whether to choose God or the enemy. If you choose God, the situation will bow,” he said.
He then admonished them to always be conscious of the presence of God in every sphere of their lives via the word of God as that is the guarantee for their joy. “Your growth is by revelation as you feed on the word of God. Those things that have confused others, the presence of the Lord defines solutions to God’s children,’ he said.
