Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @ Sunday Service
The September 7th Sunday Service was nothing short of a divine showcase of “the God of Suddenly,” the theme prophetically declared by our Senior Pastor, Jimmy Odukoya.
Pastor Jimmy began his message with a breathtaking testimony of Brother Olawale, who was once convicted on six different charges and handed multiple death, life, and long-term sentences, and spent 10 years in prison with no hope in sight. But his lawyer appealed, and suddenly, the case was overturned, and he walked out a free man.
As the congregation erupted in celebration, yet another testimony followed of a church member who had been wrongfully arrested while writing exams in university over a rape case that went viral and was threatened with jail. As he proved his innocence, the more he was pinned with the case and taken to court alongside other guys. And while it seems all odds were against him, his friend invited him to church, where Pastor Jimmy prophetically declared his freedom, and then God intervened suddenly, and he was discharged and acquitted.
The atmosphere grew even more electric as Pastor Jimmy shared how, unexpectedly, members of the church came together to present him with a brand-new car, a testimony of God’s surprise blessings.
While continuing in the message, he gave the example of an artist who puts his signature on a masterpiece, to announce to the congregation that God will make their life a masterpiece in such a way that people would look at their lives and see His signature. He said, “God is about to make your life His masterpiece. He will put His signature on you, so that when people look at your life, they will see His hand and give glory to Him.”
He thereafter encouraged the congregation never to give up on God, for when He moves, it is often suddenly, and He will ensure that every story ends beautifully.
Pastor Toluawani Odukoya, earlier in the service, shared the Promise of the Week from Hosea 14:7, declaring that under God’s shadow, His people will bloom with beauty and fragrance, reflecting His glory. She urged the church to live boldly in their identity as God’s children. “You’re a child of the King. Your best days are ahead. You are not defined by what people say, but by who God has called you,” she said.
