Pastor Taiwo at the May 27 Family Sunday service said that God is motivated at all times only by love and His love for His children is not based on performances but by covenant. He will do nothing except through love. This is why, according to Pastor Taiwo, God is more concerned in dwelling in the hearts of His children so as to make them grounded and rooted in love and in turn, express that love of Christ to others. “Everyone who professes to be born again will still remain shallow until they are grounded and rooted in love,” he said.
Speaking from Ephesians 1:10 and 3:14-21, he said that the selfish nature of man’s heart which easily hates will be transformed into a loving one when filled with and strengthened by the Spirit of God. He further said that God’s strength in His children comes with might to help them succeed in their assignments. “When your inner man is strengthened and fired up, it will make you live a victorious life and make the devil flee from you,” he said.
He therefore urged them never to make light the Holy Spirit of God because He will help them live a fulfilled life. “No matter how things are around you, look for the Holy Ghost and have Him in your life because He will strengthen your inner man to illuminate the world and He will never let you drown in your place of assignment,” he said.
“KNOWING THE JOYFUL SOUND”

Pastor Taiwo has admonished all Christians to be conscious of their identity and rights in Christ. In doing so, they will be able to confront any contrary view and frustrate any effort working against them. He said this at the May 24 Thursday Showers service. “There are blessings in Christ made available for you but if you continue to live like a slave, it will be difficult to access them,” he said.
Speaking from Ephesians 3:14-21 and Psalm 89:15, he said that the believer’s fears and struggles would end when they know who they are in Christ. According to him, this will make them bold to possess their possessions which God has made available for them. He further noted that studying the word of God, having total trust in Him and allowing the Holy Spirit in them will give them understanding on how to handle situations and circumstances well. “When your trust is absolutely in God and you allow His Spirit in you, you will not be scared or moved by challenges but confront them and then you will have your victory and miracle,” he stated.
Pastor Taiwo therefore urged them from 1 John 4:7-8 and 1 John 5:4 to always remember that they are children of God and are loved and should therefore act accordingly. In his words, “Don’t let the devil put you in a bad state. You are a child of God and so, you are loved.”
