THE ANOINTING WITHIN

Pastor Taiwo @ Sunday service

In his message at the February 2 Sunday service, Pastor Taiwo explained that the reason a number of believers don’t experience God’s power in them is because of their lack of adequate understanding of who they are in Christ. According to him, the Spirit of God dwells inside of every believer and has made the victorious life available for them but they can enjoy that life style to the extent of their understanding of their identity in Him and the power made available to them.

Speaking from Romans 8:9-11, he said that anyone who professes Christ and calls himself or herself a Christian but yet behaves like they have never been to the Church before is simply ruled by things other than the Spirit of God and the power of God in them is being neglected. In his words, “Whatever God does is through His Spirit who lives in you. What makes a Christian is the Spirit that lives inside of him or her. There is a mark that every shepherd put on his flock of sheep. Similarly, the Holy Spirit is the sign that God our Great Shepherd has put on us to show that we belong to Him.”

He then implored them to always meditate on God’s word so as to get the adequate revelation and understanding of their identity in Christ. This, he noted, will help them live that victorious life available for them. “You will run into trouble in life if you neglect or forget that the Holy Spirit lives inside of you. The Spirit of God in you will not only affect you but He will cause you to affect other lives. So, begin to release the power of the Holy Spirit inside you by faith,” he urged.

“A NEW SONG INDEED”

Pastor Biodun Soderu @ Thursday showers

Pastor Biodun, while sharing Psalm 40:1-3 with the worshippers at the January 30 Thursday showers said that the theme for this year which is ‘A New Song’, is the master key for to getting answers this year. He also noted that new songs are visible and they testify of God’s greatness in the lives of His children.

Also sharing from Psalm 126, Luke 1:46, Acts 3:8, and Luke 1:34- 37, he said that the Holy Spirit always gets the job done and that one should never leave the presence of God when the doors are open. He further noted that when believers have total trust in God, it affects their confessions, thereby changing the narratives of their lives.

He therefore encouraged believers to never let go of the word irrespective of their situations, whether in their waiting period or when their prayers are answered.
