Pastor Nomthi, while admonishing the congregation at the May 6 Sunday service from Micah 7:7 which is the promise for the week, said that God will always listen to His distressed children whenever they call to Him.
According to her, believers who maintain their stand in God and remain steadfast in waiting and focusing on Him will never be put to shame. She therefore urged them never to lose their focus on Christ no matter the distraction but to be bold and confident in Him, just as children are always confident in their parents. “When God hears you, things are not going to remain the same. He alone can save you, so be confident in Him,” she said.

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ gives light to all who believe in Him and also makes them the light of the world. But devil will always contend with believers so as to confuse them about their status in Christ as children of light. When they however know who they are and always confess God’s light into their situation, the devil will flee. Pastor Nomthi said this at the May 3 Thursday Showers service. “You are a child of light, so there is no competition between you and the darkness. Always declare the light of God into every situation of your life,” she said.
Speaking from Genesis 1:1-3, she said that the understanding of believers of their identity in Christ will give them victory over the antics and deceit of the devil. “The darkness does not give up, but if you know that it was defeated a long time ago you won’t fall for its deceit,” she said.
