Expansion

Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @Sunday service

The first Sunday service in January 2026 at the Fountain of Life Church, was all shades of praise, outpouring joy and glow. Every aspect of the service was spirit-filled, screaming expansion, which is the theme for the year.

The service witnessed Pastor Toluwani encouraging the congregation with the promise of the week, taken from Isaiah 60:22. She noted that whatever situation they may be going through is not permanent, highlighting the process of becoming and multiplication. “I will multiply the least of you into a thousand and the weakest one into a mighty nation. I am Yahweh, and when the right time comes, I will accomplish it swiftly.” After prophetically praying this scripture over the church, she thereafter led them into an awesome time of worship.

Pastor Jimmy delivered the sermon titled EXPANSION, which is also the theme for the year. The theme scripture was taken from Isaiah 54:1. He prophesied that the congregation would have reasons to shout for joy every month and declared that disgrace would be far from them, in Jesus’ name.

He explained that expansion is a blessing and does not come as a response to labour or striving harder. Expansion flows from God’s presence. He noted that Eden means pleasure and presence (Genesis 2:10). The promise of expansion is tied to God’s presence, as God expands presence and not activity. When God is present, expansion becomes overflow; when He is not present, expansion becomes pressure.

He further explained that God cannot pour oceans into teacups, emphasising that capacity is required before supply. He noted that God will not give influence that cannot be carried or abundance that the mind cannot manage, and one cannot enlarge their tent without God.

He concluded the sermon with the words: “You cannot go through life without being in God’s presence.”
