The auditorium of The Fountain of Life Church was filled to capacity on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, as members and families gathered in great numbers to usher in the New Year, 2026. The atmosphere was charged with gratitude, expectation, and faith as the congregation crossed over together into a new season.
The Watch Night Service was a heartfelt expression of thanksgiving to God for His protection, preservation, and faithfulness throughout 2025. Despite the challenges of the year, the church celebrated God’s sustaining grace that brought them safely to its end.
From the vibrant praise and worship to the impactful drama presentation, inspiring testimonies, RGK dance presentation, and soul-stirring choir ministrations, every segment of the service was a sacrificial offering of gratitude to God for all He had done.
At the cusp of the New Year, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya prophetically declared EXPANSION over the congregation. He charged the church not to allow anything steal their shout of joy in 2026, emphasising that a shout precedes supernatural breakthrough, as seen in Joshua 6:20. He explained that shouting is not mere noise, but a spiritual act that breaks the power of shame and signifies agreement with God’s Word.
The Senior Pastor further declared that in 2026, overtaking would be permitted for God’s people, not by striving, but through divine alignment. Referencing Deuteronomy 28:2, Amos 9:13, and 1 Samuel 30:7–8, he affirmed that supernatural acceleration would be a result of walking in God’s order and purpose.
Pastor Jimmy also declared that God’s people would walk in audacious faith in 2026, a kind of faith that may not make sense to the natural mind (Mark 11:23). He described audacious faith as faith that does not wait for permission before acting on God’s Word.
Among the prophetic declarations made during the service was a call for believers to become comfortable with discomfort, as God would stretch them beyond familiar boundaries. Remaining in the comfort zone, he explained, keeps one in the boat, but faith requires stepping out onto the water. He declared that God would lead His people into unfamiliar territories, calling them into deeper waters to go farther and higher.
He further stated that Christ alone must be the anchor in 2026 (Hebrews 6:18), noting that neither man nor money should serve as a foundation, but Christ alone. It was also declared that God’s people would inherit new territories without struggle, supported by scriptures such as Isaiah 54:3; Psalm 2:8; Joshua 1:3; and Deuteronomy 6:10–11.
