Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @ Sunday Service
“When I talk about Are You In, I am talking about the ‘in’ in inheritance. Because when you speak of inheritance, the only way you can inherit anything is if you are ‘in’ the will. If you are not in the will, you cannot inherit.” This analogy laid the foundation for Sunday’s (15 February 2026) message delivered by God’s servant, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya. He emphasised that inheritance is the architecture of God’s relationship with humanity, as seen in Genesis 1:26 (AMP), and that it is through man’s relationship with God that access to divine inheritance is granted.
Expounding further, Pastor Jimmy described how God placed man in charge of the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it (Genesis 2:15). The responsibility to tend and guard the garden came only after God had settled man within it. He noted that inheritance is the basis for receiving anything from God. In his words, “inheritance flows from divine commitment, not human competence”.
Pastor Jimmy also highlighted that when we understand who we are as Christians, we pray from a place of knowledge and understanding. When our identity is unclear, however, we approach God like negotiators because we do not fully grasp who we are. Matthew 6:7–9 makes it clear that we should not pray with meaningless repetition; rather, we should pray with confidence, knowing that we are speaking to our Father.
In conclusion, Pastor Jimmy reminded the congregation that God will never leave nor forsake us because we are His children and have access to the full inheritance made available through His Son, Jesus Christ. As Christians, we are heirs and therefore have access to His promises.
Earlier, while sharing the Promise of the Week from Galatians 3:13–14, Pastor Toluwani Odukoya admonished the congregation that no situation is bigger than God, because there is no greater sacrifice than the laying down of the life of His only Son for our freedom. The death of Jesus gives believers the capacity to carry His Spirit within them; therefore, no curse can stand, because Jesus has already paid the price in full, granting us access to our blessings and healing, which we receive by faith.
