It was a powerful Sunday at The Fountain of Life Church on July 19 as members experienced the palpable presence of God through a special worship session led by Pastor Jimmy Odukoya. The atmosphere was charged with God’s presence as the congregation lifted heartfelt praise and worship to Him.
During the service, Pastor Jimmy emphasised the importance of responding to divine promptings in worship. He said, “Whenever there is a stirring in the Spirit, lay everything aside and allow the King of Glory to come in through your praise.”
He reminded the congregation that their very presence in God’s house was a testimony of His faithfulness. “If it were up to the devil, you wouldn’t be here right now. So let the devil know that he has come too late,” he said.
Speaking on the power of praise, Pastor Jimmy described it as one of the believer’s greatest weapons of warfare. “Praise fits every situation because God inhabits the praises of His people. Praise puts the enemy in a chokehold,” he stated.
He encouraged worshippers to lift their praise wholeheartedly and allow God to take charge of every situation, leading the church into an extraordinary session of worship marked by gratitude, celebration, and a tangible sense of God’s glory.
Earlier in the service, Pastor Toluwani Odukoya shared the Promise of the Week from Zephaniah 3:16 – 17, reminding the congregation of God’s abiding presence and saving power. Do not be afraid; the mighty God is in your midst, and He will save you,” she declared.
Her message of hope and assurance culminated in an uplifting praise and worship session that prepared hearts for a life-changing encounter with God.
