In continuation of the series he began last week, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, at the September 14 Sunday Service, expanded on his message titled “The God of Suddenly,” explaining that every sudden move of God is always preceded by His Word. “Every time there is a sudden move of God, His word accompanies it. There is no ‘suddenly’ without the Word,” he declared.
Drawing from Isaiah 55:11, Pastor Jimmy emphasised that God’s Word never fails; when it accomplishes its divine purpose, the suddenly manifests. Referencing Acts 3:22-26 and Hebrews 3:1-6, he further noted that Jesus, the Mediator of God, is Himself the divine interruption in the affairs of humanity, just as He defended Moses against opposition in Numbers 12:1-10. “Jesus is the SUDDEN in Suddenly. Before He appeared, He had already finished the work at Calvary. Jesus is the SUDDENLY of God,” he affirmed.
He then urged the congregation to keep their focus on Jesus, the highest authority over their lives, and the One who makes the suddenly possible. “Everything that happens for you suddenly is because Jesus has already been working to bring it to pass. The suddenly happens because God speaks it into existence,” he said.
Pastor Toluwani, while prophetically declaring Deuteronomy 28:6 as the Promise of the Week, reminded the congregation that the blessing of God guarantees them productivity, peace, and protection. She declared, “You will prosper in all that you set your hands to do. Calamity will be far from you, because the blessing of the Lord rests upon you.”
