Sharing from the biblical account of the widow whose debt was supernaturally paid and whose sons were rescued from being taken away, as recorded in 2 Kings 4:1-7, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, speaking at the December 21 Sunday service, addressed the reality of shame that can accompany indebtedness, noting that shame can come to believers regardless of being God’s children, but affirmed that God always has a way of bringing His people out of every form of shame.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
Dear Lord, I admit that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. Thank you for sending your only begotten Son Jesus Christ to suffer the punishment I deserve for my sins. Today, I receive Him as my Lord and personal Saviour. Help me to turn from my sinful ways and live a life that is pleasing to You henceforth. Thank you for Your gift of eternal life and for the hope I now have in You. In Jesus precious name I pray. Amen.

13: Planted in the house of the Lord, They will flourish in the courts of our God.
14: [Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age;
They will flourish and be [a]vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment];
15: [They are living memorials] to declare that the Lord is upright and faithful [to His promises];
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
