YOU WILL FINISH WELL Cont’d

Pastor Taiwo @Sunday Service

In continuation of the message he started the previous Thursday, Pastor Taiwo at the June 7 Sunday service reminded listeners that God always finishes whatever He starts, noting that whenever God is seen in a project, such a project is already finished. “If it is God, there must be a finishing point,” he said.

Drawing his texts from Philippians 1:6, John 19:30, and Isaiah 26:9-10, Pastor said that delay is not a failure for a child of God, stating that God’s promise over His children will always come to pass no matter how long a time it takes. “God doesn’t do a half job, it is not in His nature to abandon His project. Whatever He starts, He finishes. So, regardless of what you’re going through, His promise over you will come to pass,” he said.

He further said that when God is involved in a man’s case, not even death can truncate such a man’s life. “It may look to the world that God has abandoned you but no, He cannot. He will bring to pass His promise to you because whatever He starts, He finishes. You will therefore finish well,” he said.

He then urged them from Isaiah 66:9 never to give in to despondency or get distracted from trusting God. In his words, “Don’t make any irrational decision. God is so interested in your case and will make sure you finish well. Man may walk away but not God. So stand up and move in faith. He will keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish.”

YOU WILL FINISH WELL

Pastor Taiwo @Thursday showers

Using the biblical examples of Joseph, David, Simeon and Abraham among many others who had the promises of God fulfilled in their lives despite all odds, Pastor Taiwo urged the online participants at the June Thursday Showers service to believe God and take Him for His words because He will surely bring them to pass. According to him, God’s nature is to always finish whatever He starts. “God is a finisher. Whatever God has started in you, He will perfect it,” he said.

Speaking from Philippians 1:4-6, Luke 2:25-29 and Isaiah 46:7-10, he said that believers shouldn’t let their circumstances define or limit God, noting that if He brought them through past challenges to their present position, He would bring them to the expected end He promised them.  “Don’t define God by your circumstances,” he urged.

Pastor Taiwo further mentioned confidence and skill as part of the ingredients to succeed, noting that believers shouldn’t be lazy and careless to sharpen their skill in as much as they are waiting on God’s promises. In his words, “It takes confidence and skill to achieve greatness. You need to be skillful in whatever you do and then be confident in Christ as you go about fulfilling your purpose in life.”

He therefore urged them from Romans 8:35-39 to do away with fear and trust God no matter what happens. “You will finish well in Jesus’ name. What you’re created to become in life, you will be no matter the obstacles,” he urged.
