SIGNS AND WONDERS: EXPECTATION

Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @ Sunday Service.

Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, while ministering at the January 21 Sunday service, emphasised the synergy between faith and expectation. He stated that when expectation is combined with faith, it transforms individuals into signs that cause people to wonder. Drawing from Acts 3:1-8, Pastor Odukoya explained the distinction between begging and expectation. Begging, he clarified, involves asking for help or charity, while expectation is the anticipation of or looking forward to the coming or occurrence of something. He urged believers not to approach God with a mindset of begging for signs and wonders but to expect them, citing Jesus’ promise of believers doing greater works.

Pastor Jimmy outlined the four major pillars of expectation: a posture of faith, confidence in God’s character, alignment with God’s desires and ways, seeking His purpose, and gratitude in anticipation. He emphasised that this shift is not a matter of capacity but a mindset change, asserting that once one’s mentality changes, they become a sign and wonder. He reminded the congregation that they are not slaves but children of God, sons in the Kingdom.

Encouraging the members from Mark 16:17-18, Romans 8:19, Psalm 24:1, Genesis 1:1-12, and John 1:3, Pastor Jimmy highlighted the believers’ role as co-creators with God, possessing the Holy Spirit within them. He emphasised that believers, as temples of the Holy Spirit, have the Creator’s Spirit within them. Consequently, when they speak to anything created, it must hearken and respond.

GOD IS STILL IN THE BUSINESS OF DOING MIRACLES!

Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @Thursday Showers

The Thursday showers on January 18th were a blend of spiritual manifestations, testimonies, and fervent worship. The atmosphere was charged with faith and expectancy as attendees gathered to experience the supernatural. Worshippers witnessed diverse miracles, ranging from tangible blessings to miraculous healings, contributing to an unforgettable day of divine encounters.

Senior Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, while ministering at the service, emphasised the importance of daring to believe God for miracles in every aspect of life. His words resonated with the congregation as he urged them to release their faith and believe in the power of Jesus to transform even the seemingly dead and hopeless situations.

He encouraged, “Whatever you are believing God for, whatever dead situation you’re facing, whatever seems hopeless, release your faith now and dare to believe in the name of Jesus.” This call to faith sparked a collective response from the congregation, igniting a wave of expectation and belief in the miraculous. The pastor then led the worshippers in a dynamic prayer session, urging them to keep trusting God, as they never know when He will come through for them.
