TIME FOR EXPLOITS

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya @ September 25, 2022

The senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, while ministering at the September 25 Sunday service, noted that God’s infinite power is able to turn any situation around, irrespective of the reality or prognosis. He stated outrightly that, “When God speaks, it comes to pass unfailingly.”

Using the account of Abraham, who received the fulfilment of the promise of having a child almost 25 years after the promise was given, as an example, Pastor Taiwo ascertained that God is never late, irrespective of how far gone the situation facing His children is.

Referencing Genesis 17: 1 – 7, the clergy emphasized the importance of having absolute faith in God no matter the situation. According to him, God always comes through, irrespective of the situations or circumstances, adding that believers need to be ever conscious of the fact that this is what the Covenant is all about.

Pastor Taiwo further quoted Genesis 15:1 to say that having an encounter and revelation of the personality and sovereignty of God is vital to touching or receiving anything from God. Such a person, he continued, must have encountered the Word in faith, as experience comes from the overflow.

The man of God further explained that God shows Himself to His children as Almighty whenever they are in situations that are beyond human comprehension and ability, just as He appeared to Abram in Genesis 17 to emphasise His “almightiness” as well as His sovereignty – Elshaddai; the all-sufficient one.

The Pastor therefore called the attention of the congregation to the need for absolute focus, dedication, seriousness and to be constantly abiding in the truth while holding on firmly to the promises of God. “God is more than enough,” he said.

“DECLARATIONS”

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya @ Thursday Showers Service

Pastor Taiwo used Psalm 118:24 to show the people at the Thursday showers service on September 22 that Christians can get God’s blessings by making good decisions.

Citing Mark 11:23, the clergy provided more insight into the importance of what believers say, noting that their confessions without distraction attract God’s backing. He further noted the importance of decision-making and its consequences. According to him, “we live by our decisions. If you choose what God doesn’t expect you to choose, you will suffer. “

In continuation, Pastor Taiwo stated that the mind is also vital in decision-making, stating that the worst abuse of humanity is someone’s life being controlled by other things without the person’s having control over such things. In his words, “the devil cannot have you dominated until he has captured your mind. We are created for choices. “

He continued, “The battle you don’t lose in your mind, you can’t lose in the physical; the battle your spirit man doesn’t give up on, you can never lose.”

Using the description of the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans 14:17, Pastor Odukoya defined the Kingdom of God as righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Speaking from Galatians 5:22, the clergy mentioned that understanding God’s word, recognising the Holy Spirit in one’s life, and believing and declaring the words are ways believers can actualise and activate joy. “To choose joy is to choose strength,” he said.

He therefore encouraged the worshippers to always rejoice in the Lord irrespective of their circumstances and to always declare God’s words over their lives. In his words, “Joy is the access to the strength of God. No matter the situation, joy will forge a way through for you. So any time you make the declaration of joy, the devil hears and creation hears too. “
