THE GARMENT OF PRAISE

Pastor Zama Segbedji @ Sunday First Service

The period of waiting for the manifestation of God’s promises and prophesies in a believer’s life is the time to be filled with praise. These were the words of Pastor Zama Segbedji, the co-pastor of Solution Chapel International, Crawley, West Sussex in England, at the May 5 Sunday first service. According to her, the devil can easily fill believers’ heart with all sorts of dirty thoughts during the waiting period if their hearts are not already filled with praises to God.

Speaking from Isaiah 61:1-3, Habakkuk 3:17-18, Psalm 34 and Psalm 150:6, she said that believers should always praise God irrespective of their situations, noting that waiting periods could look longer when believers are idle or doing nothing. “Do something in-between the periods of the word spoken to you and its manifestation. Always praise God because when you wait on Him in praise, He gives you strength and eventually shows up,” she stated.

She therefore urged them never to stop praising God while waiting on Him for the miraculous because it brings God into their situations.

“UNVEILING THE MYSTERY OF THE GREATER LIGHT”

Pastor Adama Segbedji @ Sunday Second Service

In his message to the congregation at the May 5 Sunday second service, Pastor Adama Segbedji, the Senior Pastor of Solution Chapel International, Crawley, West Sussex in England, said that believers are supposed to be light in a dark world.

According to him, every child of God has been called to influence the world by representing Christ, noting that no fear should intimidate them from achieving this. “You were called to influence the world. It doesn’t matter where you are coming from, Jesus says you are the light of the world, not that you are going to be,” he stated.

Speaking from Mathew 5.14-16, Genesis 1:16 and John 1:5, he stated that believers are to possess the characteristics of light which include bringing clarity, having unquestionable dominion over darkness, ruling its environment and not being limited. These, he said, would show that they are truly representing Christ. “The time we see darkness is not the time to keep quiet but the time to introduce what is greater than darkness – light,” he said.

He therefore urged them to always follow Christ, the Light of the world, so that they too can shine in this dark world. “That’s why you have to be found in Jesus, the Potter, so that you can be what He has called you to be,” he stated.

“YOUR IMAGINATION”

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya @ Thursday Showers

Speaking from Ephesians 1:15-21 and Philippians 4:8, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya at the May 2 Showers service revealed that imagination is the architect of man’s reality because nothing is achieved in the physical until it is clear in one’s imagination. “Everything you ought and want to be is in your imagination. In the same vein, everything you don’t want to be is in your imagination,” he said.

Using Abraham’s experience with God when he was asked to number the stars as an example, Pastor Taiwo said that God uses pictures to form the substance of faith in His children while they have a choice to believe or feed on either God’s Words or the distractor’s. “Every faith rooted in God has a substance in reality,” he stated.

He therefore urged them to steer their minds in the positive direction because it is an important instrument to their reality. “Whenever negative imagination springs up within you, speak the Word of God against it,” he enjoined.
