OPEN DOORS: THE ALL-SUFFICIENT GOD

Pastor Taiwo @Sunday Service
Pastor Taiwo at the February 26 Sunday service said that one character of God that is often overlooked is His Supremacy, and this usually hinders a lot of His children from accessing their open doors. But when they totally rely on His mighty power, realising they cannot achieve anything without Him, then they would not only achieve their breakthroughs but would also reveal Christ to the world through their lives. “The period of weakness or lack is the best time to focus on Jesus and not run away from Him because you are the focus of Heaven,” he said.
Speaking from Revelation 3:7-10 and Isaiah 66:1-2; 40:28-31, he said that the believers’ strength cannot be ignored because the One who gives them that strength is Mighty and knows how to bring them out strong, just as He did to the Philadelphia church. “No matter the forces around you plotting to bring you down, they won’t be able to prevail over you,” he stated.
He asked all never to forget that they have the nature of God as well as His Spirit, and enjoined them to develop His mindset and walk through their open doors to possess their possessions. “You will accomplish supernaturally your desires once they are His desires,” he said.
Other scripture references were 1 Peter 5:5-7 and Acts 7:9-10.

YOUR FATHER AND YOU
Pastor Taiwo @Thursday Showers
The devil is crafty in creating problems but Jesus has come to give life more abundantly. For the believer, then, many areas of trouble are mostly areas where celebration is certain. Pastor Taiwo said this at the February 23 Thursday Showers service while admonishing the worshippers on having an effective relationship with God, their Father. “When you understand that all things were made by Him and without Him there was nothing made that was made, then you can go to sleep,” he said.
Dwelling on John 1 and John 9:5, Pastor Taiwo noted that the natural man can only see natural light, but the real light that causes the soul, spirit and even the body to shine is in the spirit. And that, according to him, is the heritage of the righteous. “Jesus is the solution to every lack; hence, as a child of God, you are a solution to others’ problems,” he stated.
Pastor Taiwo further noted that when a man becomes born again, he becomes God’s light walking the face of the earth, according to Philippians 2:15 and 2 Corinthians 4:6. He therefore urged believers to always focus on their identity in Christ as light irrespective of challenges.

PASTOR NOMTHI’S WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT @THURSDAY SHOWERS
Pastor Nomthi at the February 23 Thursday Showers service gave an insight into 1 Peter 1:8 where the Bible likened the devil to a roaring lion who is always active and not relenting. According to her, the scare of this lion’s roar might be different to individual believers but such scares are silenced through the name of Jesus. “When the devil roars, it is not always seen by any other but the victim; but in the presence of God, such roars fade out and are silenced through the scriptures,” she said.
She enjoined believers (from John 14:16) to always be conscious of the fact that irrespective of the devil’s roaring, the Holy Spirit is forever with them and they cannot be defeated since they fight from the point of victory.

PASTOR NOMTHI’S WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT @SUNDAY SERVICE
Pastor Nomthi has urged all Christians to cultivate the habit of giving thanks to God irrespective of their situation. She said this at the February 26 Sunday service while exhorting the congregation from 1 Thessalonians 5:18, which is the promise of the week. “In everything always give thanks, for this is the will of God concerning you,” she said.
According to her, no circumstance or situation should hinder a child of God from giving thanks to God. The enemy, she said, would always come to disturb and distract them but the understanding of the Word of God to make all things work together for the good of those who believe in Him should inspire them not to give the devil any foothold. “If you are threatened or confused in life by any situation, just give thanks and get into the Word which will give you the victory,” she said.
