MEDITATE ON GOD’S WORD

Pastor Taiwo @ Sunday service
Speaking from 1 Timothy 4:15 and Joshua 1:8, Pastor Taiwo at the June 14 Sunday service said that finding time to meditate on God’s word gives Christians the ability to showcase His work and glory to the world. According to him, God is interested in the success, progress and prosperity of His children but they also must spend time to meditate on His word. “The only way to bring to bear the finished work of God in your life is to meditate on the Word of God. When you spend time to meditate on God’s Word, your success will be evident to all,” he said.
Pastor Taiwo further said that meditating on God’s words means to focus on Him, seek Him and fill one’s mind with every of His word. This, he said, requires the principles of putting one in the picture of the scripture, repeatedly thinking and confessing those scriptures daily. “Fill your heart with the right things which is the Word of God. As long as your heart is filled with the right things, you will think right. And once your thoughts are right, you will begin to yield fruits,” he said.
Pastor continued by saying that the benefits of meditating on God’s word include, having the presence of God, manifestation to the world, and God’s involvement in everything such a believer does. He therefore admonished believers never to get tired of meditating on God’s word. “From today, spend day and night to meditate on the Word of God. Get a scripture as regards your situation and focus on it over and over, and see if the results would not be evident,” he urged.

MEDITATE ON GOD’S WORD
Pastor Taiwo @ Thursday showers
Using Apostle Paul’s charge to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12-16 as focus, Pastor Taiwo at the June 11 online Thursday Showers service said that God is interested in the progress of His children as well as showcasing them to the world, noting that it glorifies Him. This progress, he said, spreads across all spheres of their lives. “God is glorified when there’s an evidence in your life that you are His child,” he said.
Also speaking from Matthew 5:15-16 and John 15:7-8, Pastor noted that having a conscious meditation on God’s mind and thought towards His children will help believers do well in showcasing God’s glory to the world. He further said that courage and divine strength are also needed alongside meditation.
In his words, “In this busy world, you need to be conscious to make time for the major things in your life. You will need to meditate on the word of God. Prioritise meditating on God’s word and every other thing will materialize.”
He therefore urged them from Joshua 1:8 to make the word of God their companion as that is a major key to shinning for Christ in a sinful world. “Make time to think and reflect on the word. What you don’t have time for, you don’t appreciate. But if you give time to His word, it will take any negative thought or thing away from your mindset,” he said.
