LIVING DECISIVELY – UNSTOPPABLE

Pastor Taiwo @ Sunday Service
September 17 Sunday service was an awesome one as it was the grand finale of the Emerge Leadership (Youth) Conference which started on Friday. In his sermon, Pastor Taiwo told the congregation that they were made in the image of God and created to have dominion over all created things. This, according to him, means that they are unstoppable and therefore should walk in that consciousness. “You are the planting of the Lord, the enemy cannot pluck you out. You are unstoppable,” he said.

Speaking from Revelation 3:7-9; Genesis 1:26-28; John 3:16; John 10:10; 1 John 4:4 and 5:4, he said that God has made all provisions available to His own; but they still have to choose whether or not to walk in that reality. According to him, faith is required on the part of believers to be able to access the abundant life in Christ. He noted that a conscious decision needs to be made to live an overcoming life. This, he said, requires acknowledging God, getting instructed by the word and seeking counsel. “The door is open before you and this is not measured by lost opportunities or failures but by the blood of Jesus,” he stated.

He urged everyone to allow the word of God become superior over every other thing in their lives as it is only then they can walk in the reality of the abundant life in Christ. “Find your destination through the word and live your life positively. God has given you the spirit of power, love and of sound mind, so you need to live intentionally and never take decisions in life without asking God for guidance,” he said.

Your walk in life should not be based on your physical sight but on the spiritual (faith). You therefore cannot rate yourself by your physical strength because we walk by faith and not by sight. Pastor Taiwo said this at the September 14 Thursday Showers service. “Never stop looking unto God who is the author and finisher of your faith. Don’t let your faith be based on what people think or say about you but on what God knows, sees and says about you,” he said.
Speaking from Revelation 3:7-8 and 2 Corinthians 5:7, he said that God never fails anyone who never stops looking up to Him in spite of his or her limitations or situations. He further said that having a personal relationship and fellowship with God is vital to getting to one’s destination. “Christianity is not about what the pastor or bishop says but about what Jesus Christ says,’’ he stated.
He then admonished believers to always acknowledge God in all they do by seeking Him and His ways. This, he said, will enable them see properly and thus become unstoppable.
