IT’S TIME FOR EXPLOIT

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya @ Sunday services

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya has urged believers to pursue an in-depth intimacy with God as this is when their strength and ability to carry out great exploits are guaranteed. He said this while ministering at the September 18 Sunday service in the main auditorium of The Fountain of Life Church.

Speaking from Daniel 11:32, the Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church said that though man is the era of information, it doesn’t still guarantee knowledge; stating that the knowledge in the scriptures regarding carrying out exploits is from a relationship experience with God. “Man is exposed to a vast amount of information, but knowledge is limited. It is only the set of people who know their God that will do exploit,” he said.

Giving more examples of the consequences of lack of knowledge, Pastor Odukoya read Hosea 4:6 and Isaiah 5:13 to show how God’s people, who are assumed to be covenant people, couldn’t attain to the fullness of His promise based on their lack of knowledge.
He went further to differentiate between impressing people and making an impact on people. According to him, seeking to impress people rather than impact people is what most Christians are engaged in now. He stated that knowing, by reason of a relationship, is the context of the knowledge God expects from believers. He added that this kind of knowledge produces productivity. “Knowing God in a relationship will always result in productivity,” he said.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya also used the example of the Apostle Paul, who, upon hearing of the new believers’ faith, prayed to God to grant them revelation knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:15-19), to show his listeners that they were created for exploits and that anything less was not bringing glory to God and His purpose.

The clergy, on the other hand, stated that believers who seek to make exploits will face opposition, but victory is certain.
From Colossians 1:4-9, he urged the congregation to always seek to be full of revelational knowledge of God, noting that this would build the relationship that would result in exploits. “For you to identify your purpose, you should become intimate with God through knowledge and see how the purpose shall be revealed,” he said.

Earlier in the service, Pastor Biodun Soderu encouraged the congregation from Psalm 37:34, which is also the promise for the week. According to him, as believers, if they can wait on the Lord and keep His way, He will exalt them to a high place, and they will see the end of the wicked, which is destruction.

“DECREE AND DECLARE YOUR JOY”

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya @ Thursday showers
While ministering at the September Thursday shower service, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya charged the worshippers to not think the impossible simply because experts or the world say so. In his words, “what the world says may be fact, but we serve a God of the miraculous, we serve a God whose truth is final.”
He continued, “If God is interested in one thing in your life, it is for His glory. He loves to be glorified. Is it in your giving, getting, or living? Let it glorify God.”
With references from Psalm 118:1, 24; Genesis 2:19-20; Philippians 4:4; and 1 Peter 5:8 and Chronicles 16:27, he said that God makes things by calling them forth. And His creative Spirit in Adam made him (Adam) name all the living creatures. And whatever he called them, is what they are being called today.
Citing the Psalmist in Psalm 118:24, he said that all the devil’s tricks are to make believers sad, adding that that is only to deceive them. He urged them to rather decree and declare God’s truth to them irrespective of the situation. “You should decree and declare your gladness in whatever situation,” he said.
He continued, “The Psalmist was deliberate in decreeing his joy in Psalm 118:24: “This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice in it.” As a Christian, the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Faith, according to Pastor Taiwo, is a declaration. “Until it is declared, it is not faith. The facts may be what they are, but you must decree what the Word of God says in your situation,” he posited.
He therefore encouraged the worshippers to always clothe themselves with the joy of the Lord because that is where their strength lies, as recorded in Psalm 16:11. “Strength and joy are found in His sanctuary. The joy of the Lord is the city of refuge. Joy is a force and an anointing. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength,” he urged.
