“GO AGAIN” cont’d

Pastor Taiwo @Sunday Service

Pastor Taiwo at the April 29 Sunday service emphasised the unshakeable assurances and realities of God’s everlasting commitment to His Word. According to him, consistently believing and appreciating the fact that GOD is a covenant keeping Father would always be enough to surmount any challenge in life.

Dwelling on Prophet Elijah’s absolute confidence in God to the extent of coming face-to-face with King Ahab, who wanted him dead, and his demonstration of God’s power by calling fire from heaven as recorded in 1 Kings 18:1-46, he pointed out that believers would at a point in their lives be faced with the challenge to prove the power of their God. Their ability to do this through their obedience to the Word and total trust in God, he said, would bring unbelievers into the Kingdom.

Speaking from Mark 10:27, 1 King 18:1-46, John 5:30 and John 11:38 -43, he urged them never to belittle God’s Word because it would always produce for them.

“GO AGAIN”

Pastor Taiwo @Thursday Showers

Dwelling on the encounter between Prophet Elijah and the prophets of Baal recorded in 1 Kings 18:1-46, Pastor Taiwo at the April 26 Thursday Showers service said that one’s heart needs to be aligned with God for the miraculous to happen. According to him, believers sometimes experience delays because of their inability to trust God wholeheartedly. God, he said, will not share His glory with anyone, so there must be total trust in Him for the miraculous to happen in a believer’s life. “We were not created to pursue anything other than God. Any secret or help that is not from the Bible and God is of the devil, run from it,” he enjoined.

Pastor Taiwo noted that believers who trust God and obey His instructions will always do great exploits just as it was with Prophet Elijah, advising that when God speaks to us, we should maintain that confession and expect the manifestation irrespective of the situation. “It doesn’t matter what the situation looks like, once God has spoken to you, just believe and expect a manifestation. Believing is dynamic expectation,” he said.
