FAITH IN ACTION

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya has admonished all believers to bring their faith to action. He said this while ministering at the June 26 Sunday service, which was held in the main auditorium of The Fountain of Life Church. The man of God backed up his claim with Hebrews 11:6. He said that every man and woman mentioned in the chapter did something great and that what they did because of their faith showed what kind of faith they had.
In his words, “Your hope as a Christian can be brought into reality. It is all the evidence required to prove what is not said. Our fathers of faith were able to prepare for eternity by faith.
Pastor Odukoya went further to say that faith activates actions, noting that if there was no faith, believers would not have been able to do anything. He cited Noah, who believed in God when asked to build an ark, and he obeyed without seeing anything, as an example to show that any effort to please God without faith is an effort in futility. “Faith in God means faith in the word of God. Anyone that comes to God must believe in Him. No one can approach God at any time without faith. God is real and relatable and He rewards those that diligently seek Him,” he added.
He continued, “Believe means that you have a resolute conviction that God is real. He is a rewarder, and He rewards persistence.”
Also reading Matthew 6:33 and Psalms 27:3-4, the clergy noted that there would be challenges and trials in the ways of believers, but victory is certain when believers put their hope and trust in God. In his words: “No matter the challenges we face in life, God is more interested in our attitude than our anxieties and fears. The patriarchs were ordinary men and women like us, but they had extraordinary faith,” he noted.
He, therefore, urged his listeners and believers generally to let the righteousness of God show, as well as to be devoted to Him and involve Him in everything that concerns them. “Christianity is for those that know that His word stands forever. They trust Him and believe that He will see them out of all their problems. Trust His word for that is faith. Keep on believing Him,” he concluded.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya Ministers

Thursday Showers

While ministering at the June 23 Thursday showers, the Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, told his listeners never to allow the devil to put them down. He said this, noting that being in the presence of God is not an intimidating one but a commanding one, for once a person is in the presence of God, the love of the Father captivates such a heart, making the problem of life realise that it has no agenda in such a life. “Going forward, it is the glory of God that will dominate. If God goes with you in any situation/season of life, then you will come out better, bigger, and praising God,” the pastor noted.
According to him, God can turn a hopeless situation around, so he encouraged God’s people to believe God for whatever He says, even if the situation appears to be contrary. “Once a person’s life is gainfully employed or occupied by God, then the rest of such a life will be gainfully used,” he said.
He reminded the worshippers that no matter how difficult the situation appears; the God we serve can meet their needs. Reading from Genesis 8:22, he explained the efficacy of words as seeds. He said, “If a seed is sown wrongly, it can ruin an entire generation, so it is necessary to sow good seeds.”
He admonished believers never to compare themselves with anyone, but to always thank God for the more that is reserved for them in the future. He warned that jealousy kills creativity when the mind required to think about who one is and where they are going next is given to the devil to use to bring others down.
