COVENANT WEALTH

Bishop Taiwo Adelakun @ Sunday First Service
Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, the Presiding Bishop of Victory International Church, Ibadan, who was the guest minister at the March 17 Sunday first service emphasized the need for believers to have faith in order to receive the manifestation of their covenant promises. According to him, there are always conditions precedent to every promise of God, and faith is the condition for possibility. “If you can believe, all things are possible,” he said.
Speaking from Mark 9:23, Psalm 89:33-35 and Genesis 28:29, he said that God is a covenant keeping God who is looking for covenant keeping people. He noted that God is always true and will never fail to fulfill His promise to His own no matter what happens. Believers however need to hold on to their faith in order to get the fulfillment of His promises in their lives no matter their circumstances, he stated.
According to the estate surveyor-turned-preacher, the six keys to covenant wealth are liberality and generosity; ingenuity and excellent spirit; divine ideas and innovations; right company; and integrity and love. “Covenant wealth is not materialism because that one does not endure. Covenant wealth is generational and is not gotten through labour but by favour,” he said.
Other scriptural quotations include 2 Corinthians 9:6, Job 32:8-9, Proverbs 13:20 and Psalm 25:21.

“RELOCATE”
Pastor Dolapo Adelakun @ Sunday Second Service
Speaking at the second service on Sunday was Pastor Dolapo Adelakun, co-pastor of Victory International Church, Ibadan and wife of Bishop Taiwo Adelakun. In her message, she said that the covenant life is a real life and that is where God wants His people to live.
Speaking from Psalm 107:20 and John 1:1, she said that the Word of God is that place of covenant where every child of God must dwell. According to her, God Himself is the Word and will perform His Word in the lives of those who stay faithful to Him. “If you will have a good beginning, a safe journey and a safe landing, you must go back to the Word and give attention to it. So stop worrying or being anxious, God will take care of those things in your heart,” she said.
She then urged them to relocate from their hustling lifestyle to the covenant lifestyle which is peaceful and victorious. “You must agree with God to transit into that covenant,” she stated.

“PRAY IN THE SPIRIT”
Pastor Taiwo @ Thursday Showers
Pastor Taiwo at the March 14 Thursday Showers service said that victory, success and breakthrough are guaranteed for believers who would always pray in the Spirit. This, according to him, helps them to keep the flesh under control. “Success is always guaranteed when you pray,” he said.
Speaking from Ephesians 6:18-20, he said that praying in the Spirit helps to control anger and all sorts of negative moods and vibes. He noted that being alert in the spirit makes believers conscious of the devices of the devil. This consciousness, he said, will make them not to misbehave but to face the devil and rebuke him out of their territory.
He therefore urged believers to always remember to put on the whole armour of God. “The armour is already with you, all you need to do is put it on, and praying in the Spirit is all you need to put everything together,” he stated.
