SHUWARAAB MISSION FIELDS

The Shuwa Arab Missions Field is 10 years old.

The year started in earnest with one week fasting and prayers at the end of which there were revelations concerning the field. These revelations include visions of a spoiler and idolatry of the inhabitants that constitute as hindrances on the field.

It is on the basis of these revelations that various strategies were devised; among them are:

Strategic ministry thrusts to the religious clerics: This focused on eaching out to this group of people, seizing opportunities to sit with them, listen to them and discuss generally and specifically on the gospel using the Arabic New Testament Bible. Few of them now have this copy of the Bible already and one is actually going through quiet discipleship teachings.
Focus on the Shuwa Women: Is centred on targeting specific number of them and enlightening them on spiritual, social, economical and intellectual matters. God is helping the missionaries on this even as they improve on their proficiency of the local Arabic dialect.

Evangelism and Discipleship: The medical services have been used as a veritable opportunity to open the people to evangelism. Through this relationship, groups of men including their village eaders have been touched.

CLINIC PROJECT
The foundation of the health clinic was laid on Wednesday, 24th March 2004 . So far, the building has reached roofing stage. Funds, up to this point, have been provided by The Fountain of Life Church. The missionaries believe God will make provision available for the ompletion.

NEEDS
A rehabilitation home for the genuine converts where they will be discipled, go to work and return to a conducive atmosphere for proper growth in the word and new life. Volunteers to help follow up and monitor their growth. Sponsorship of those men for crafts training. More volunteers for fellowship on Sundays and to meet them one on one for counselling. Volunteers to teach converts Bible Study

Missions Clinic
In order to complete and equip the missions clinic in Shuwa Arab, an stimated sum of N3 million naira is required. Purposeful, and dynamic labourers are needed to serve the Lord among the Shuwas. Lady missionaries with a high sense of calling are prayerfully and eagerly being expected. Men with large hearts, sharp vision and strong spirits that will push the work forward are also needed.

One of our missionaries was selected by the Christian Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria to attend a Developmental Health Course in the UK.
