Last Thursday, Pastor Taiwo stressed the fact that the only way to secure and sustain victory, regardless of the circumstance, was through faith.
Faith, he explained, is forged and nurtured in a close walk with God. Pastor Taiwo drew the congregation’s attention to the lives of David and Abraham, men reputed for their unique relationships with God. Faith will come to a person accustomed to the Word and the Presence of God. And faith will raise their sights above the perspective of the natural man. Encouraging his listeners, Pastor Taiwo stated, “You can be a trail blazer in your time because you are seeing what others do not see; that is the essence of faith.”
Regardless of the raging battles of life, faith will always bring victory. Faith, Pastor Taiwo told the congregation, does not retreat in the face of battle, rather it inspires victorious pursuit. David, drawing faith from the Word of God, not only pursued, he overtook and recovered all [1 Samuel 30:7-8]). Abraham, his faith resting in God, roused an army from his household, pursued, and routed a conglomeration of kings and their army of skilled fighters (Genesis 14).
Pastor Taiwo encouraged the congregation to keep their faith, unwaveringly, in the faithful Word of God. He urged them to endure warfare, to fight the good fight of faith; rest assured that their faith will always produce victory, in the name of Jesus.
“RISK MANAGEMENT IS GAINFUL”
...Pastor Taiwo on Sunday
Entrepreneurs who dabble into venture capital investment do so, fully aware of the apparent dangers. However, the bold ones do so with the understanding that the whole essence of the Kingdom of God is risk management. Pastor Taiwo made this clear on Sunday while addressing entrepreneurs during the Corporate Sunday services.
spoke from Luke 19:11-27 and Matthew 25:14-30, citing the Parable of the Talents, as told by Jesus Christ. He described the man who decided to invest his 5 talents and received a great yield as a venture capitalist who decided to explore the business principles of the Kingdom.
The one who buried his talent, he said, simply represented the fearful investor who never brooks new ventures, and therefore, hardly prospers. Pastor Taiwo described the kingdom of God as a universal organization doing business for wholesome gain, with a clear focus for human development.
He described Jesus as the ultimate example of a venture capitalist, judging from the fact that He boldly faced the cross in order to improve the lot of the rest of humanity.
Addressing employees, he told them that employment is never a right but a privilege. Therefore, whatever they find their hands to do, they should do well while endeavoring to obey the rules of Best Practice in the workplace.
Pastor Taiwo’s full messages are available on tapes and CDs at the Fountain of Life Church Tape store.
