“ACTIVATE YOUR BOLDNESS IN CHRIST” ”
Pastor Taiwo @Thursday Showers
The law, though given by God as the shadow of the real thing to come, cannot make one achieve God’s original plan to be complete and blameless as no man has been able to and can fulfil the law because it reminds of sin but does not tell how to overcome it. But the blood of Jesus Christ, which is the perfect sacrifice, according to Hebrews 10:1-9, purifies one from all blame and gives one the boldness to approach the throne of mercy, thereby making one to gradually attain to the image of God. This was Pastor Taiwo’s submission at the June 27 Thursday Showers service.
This boldness, according to him, produces confident self-realization in Christ Jesus, and the authority to confront both the devil and the world. “One sure mark of the Christian is boldness,” he said. However, looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of the believers’ faith, activates this boldness in full capacity. According to Pastor Taiwo, it releases one from the consciousness of sin.
He therefore advised the worshippers to be confident of whom they are in Christ, which is their given right through the blood of Jesus. “If you don’t do this, you will be intimidated, held captive by your emotions, instead of walking in victory,” he said.
“ACTIVATE YOUR BOLDNESS IN CHRIST””
… Pastor Taiwo Odukoya@ Sunday Service
In continuation of the message he started the previous Thursday, Pastor Taiwo, at the June 30 family Sunday service, told the church that the blood of Jesus, which was shed once, took care of the consequences of the consciousness of sin, which is fear—something the law could not do. Hence, every believer has the boldness to live by faith in Christ according to Hebrews 10:1-19.
According to him, boldness in Christ is the basis of all achievements in life because it allows one to assume one’s position of authority to control situations around one, just like David did (1 Samuel 17). “There is nothing worthwhile anyone can achieve in life without boldness,” he said.
He therefore advised all to set their minds on heavenly things where their treasures as Christians are because “it is what you set your mind at that will determine what you become in life.”
