Vocational Courses and Sessions

What are Vocational Courses?

They are career-based courses, designed to teach the practical skills and knowledge that are needed to progress to a career in a specific area e.g. Business, Catering, etc.

Regular GSVC Courses

There are 4-Month Certificate Courses in:

• Catering
• Bead craft, Jewellery and Accessories
• Machine Knitting
• Hat Making, Design and Accessories
• Make up – Bridal, Fantasy, Fashion, Runway, Head Gear Tying, Special effects
• Textile Design – Batik, Tie & Dye (Adire) and Full Screen Printing.
• Soap, Cream, Disinfectant, Air – freshener and Detergent Production.
• Event Management and Planning, Design and Decoration of Indoors and Outdoor Parties.
• Soft Furnishing.

Monday – Friday

Core Skills Classes: Two days a week for two – three hours each day

Business Management: Fridays: 9am – 11:30am or 10am – 12:30pm

Spiritual Empowerment: 12noon – 1pm or 1pm – 2pm

Executive Weekend Courses

These are being planned for working men and women.

Assessment of Students

Assessment is usually through assignments, projects, Practical sessions and case study work throughout the period, with examination in Business Management at the end of each session.
