REKINDLING ROMANCE IN YOUR MARRIAGE

A successful marriage is not just based on good sex but more on emotional connection to each other.

Communication is the key to rekindling romance and affection in your marriage. Sometimes, there is the tendency to feel that your spouse is not as expressive. Tell your spouse what you like and how you like it to be express to you. You can also help by setting examples. Rather than wait for your spouse to do what you want, you can jumpstart by doing those things for your spouse. There is nothing inappropriate about you asking for more romance if you want it.

For instance, you could organize a candle-lit dinner on your anniversary as a surprise or send the kids to a family friend once in awhile just to give room for yourselves. If you form the habit of doing this now and again, very soon your spouse will get use to it and will begin to reciprocate.

Sex between husband and wife is designed to be free of inhibitions and enjoyed by both parties. To achieve this, there must be freedom of expression. A couple must be ready to communicate their likes and dislikes to each other without fear or embarrassment. That is what the Bible refers to as being “naked and not ashamed.”
Help your spouse. Tell him/her the parts of your body that are easily excitable and gently guide him/her there. When you participate in the act, you make it intimate and enjoyable for the both of you to find pleasure in each other
